Nationwide Outreaches

In March 2025, Pepsodent, in collaboration with the Ghana Dental Association (GDA), launched the “Month of Smiles” campaign to promote oral health awareness and provide free dental care across all 16 regions of Ghana. Under the theme “Now Everyone Can #TalkToADentist,” the campaign aimed to make dental consultations accessible to all Ghanaians.Teledentistry Services

A key component of the campaign was the introduction of Teledentistry services, allowing individuals to receive expert dental advice via WhatsApp or by calling a toll-free number (0800 161 000). This initiative addressed barriers such as distance, cost, and time constraints, enabling Ghanaians to consult with qualified dental professionals from the comfort of their homes.

Nationwide Dental Screenings and Education

Pepsodent and the GDA conducted free dental screenings and educational programs in schools and public areas throughout the country. These efforts aimed to instill good oral hygiene habits, especially among children, and included partnerships with organizations such as Goldfields Ghana, the Ghana Education Service (GES), Ghana Health Service (GHS), and the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU).

World Oral Health Day Celebration

The campaign culminated on March 20th with a vibrant event at Ridge Church School in Accra, featuring oral health education sessions, dental screenings, and performances by local artists. Distinguished guests, including representatives from the Ministry of Health and the Deputy Minister of Education, attended the event, underscoring the importance of oral health in overall well-being.

Through the “Month of Smiles” campaign, Pepsodent and the GDA demonstrated their commitment to improving oral health and making dental care accessible to all Ghanaians.
