We are delighted to announce that Prof. Alexander Oti Acheampong, Dean of the School of Dentistry at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has been appointed as the Dental Representative on the Council of the Medical and Dental Council (MDC) Ghana.

Prof. Acheampong has been a pivotal figure in advancing dental education and practice in Ghana. His leadership was instrumental in the founding of the KNUST Dental School, and he has been serving as its Dean, overseeing significant developments in dental training and outreach programs. 

In his new role on the MDC Council, Prof. Acheampong is committed to enhancing dental practice standards and advocating for the interests of dental professionals across the country. His vision includes increasing the number of hospitals accredited for housemanship and residency training, thereby providing more opportunities for medical graduates to gain practical experience.
